This year Afric ala Carte will be at the Wonderboom EAA again (29 April to 1 May) come and experience the Sting.

As we mentioned the Frenchmen arrived in South Africa on their flight from Belgium to St Francis via the East Coast of Africa. They flew with 3 two seater Dynaeros and one four seater the MCR 4S. The two seaters all with 80 hp Rotax engines and the MCR4S with a 100 hp Rotax.
We had the privilege of being able to fly these magnificent aircraft for three months and put it through its paces. Who would have thought that a four seater can fly with four adults with a 100 hp motor!! Well we did it easily at the coast and to test it we flew up to Wonderboom and on a warm afternoon loaded four adults and went flying!

Well the Frenchmen are gone and arrived safely in Europe this time returning via West Africa and sadly we sit without a Dynaero at the moment. But the good news is that Afric ala Carte's MCR 4S is finished, with a Rotax 914 turbo, capable of cruising at 150 kts. The Afric ala Carte Team is going to Dijon, France next week to receive it and then Johan and Louis is going to fly it from France to Wonderboom, weather permitting to be at the opening of the Wonderboom EAA. The route will be Dijon to Malta, Malta to Luxor (Egypt), Luxor to Djibouti, Djibouti to Entebbe, Entebbe to Lilongwe, Lilongwe to Lanseria.

For such a long flight these seats will better have to be comfortable.

The average flying time per day is going to be around 8 hours. We will take plenty of photographs and tell the stories.

Come and join us at the Wonderboom EAA, experience the Stings and the Dynaero.

CAA has visited the Dynaero factory for certification and TL Ultralight has moved into its new

factory.
